Registration for School

Welcome to you and your child to Chignecto Central Regional Centre for Education!

• What school catchment area do I live in?

• What do I need to register my child for school?

  • Children who reside in the province of Nova Scotia and reach the age of five (5) years on or before December 31 are eligible for enrolment in the Primary Program,
  • Before the start of next school year, please be prepared to show the following documentation:
    • Nova Scotia Health Card
    • Birth Certificate
    • Proof of residency to confirm your school catchment area (e.g. utility bill)

• We recognize that personal circumstances may make it difficult for some individuals to complete the registration process online. In this case, please contact your child’s school to register. We are here to support you through this process.

Registration for Pre-primary

The Pre-primary program is voluntary and open to all children who are at least four years old by December 31st, 2024 and live within school catchment. Children can only attend the Pre-primary program for one year.

We are now accepting registration for all sites for the Pre-primary Program for September 2024. Children who are at least four (4) years old by December 31st, 2024 and live within the school's catchment area are eligible.
