Nova Scotia Education Week Awards
Education Week 2024 runs from April 14 to 20 and provides a special opportunity for the education community to acknowledge educators, school support staff and partners for their outstanding work relative to the Education Week theme.
This year’s theme is Connections to Community
This year's theme recognizes educators who take deliberate effort to enhance and empower their larger school communities, including families and the community at large. Connections to Community celebrates staff who build strong relationships between the school and the community as part of meeting the needs of their students.

One Teacher /Specialist award from each NSTU Local

- Cumberland: Phil Scott, Springhill Junior Senior High School

One award for a PSAANS Member

One award for a non-teaching school/student support staff member (may or may not be an NSTU member)

One award for an Early Childhood Educator (ECE)

One Mi’kmaq/Aboriginal Educator/Student Support Award (applicable to all student support school professionals)

One African Nova Scotian Educator/Student Support Award (applicable to all student support school professionals)
