Hub School Model Proposal Presentations

A special Board Meeting of the Chignecto-Central Regional School Board will be held Wednesday, April 15, 2015 beginning at 7:00 pm in the cafeteria at Truro Elementary School, 125 Curtis Drive, Truro.

The Committee-of-the-Whole Meeting of the Chignecto-Central Regional School Board will take place on Wednesday, June 3, 2015 beginning at 7:00 pm in the cafetorium, at Truro Junior High School, 445 Young Street, Truro.

High School students will begin on September 4th

The first day of school for students attending River Hebert District High will be Friday, September 4, 2015. High  School staff will use Thursday, September 3rd to unpack and set-up classrooms in the newly constructed wing. Elementary students will begin school on September 3rd.

Parents, guardians or students with questions may contact the school office at 902-251-3200.

Parents, guardians and students are advised to expect busing delays today due to the rain and the resulting road conditions, particularly on back roads throughout the school board. Drivers will be travelling more slowly to account for the conditions.

The Chignecto-Central Regional School Board (CCRSB) is now accepting applications for students interested in enrolling in Late French Immersion and Integrated French. The application deadline is March 4, 2016. 

Late French Immersion (Grade 7 entry) – Information Sessions for Parents: 

Redcliff Middle School, 33 Sunset Lane, Valley
Date: Tuesday, February 9, 2016 (Storm date - February 10th) 
Time: 6:00 pm

Parents and guardians are advised that the students and staff from Hants North and Kennetcook District School are now being evacuated to the Kennetcook Fire Hall in the village behind the home hardware. Students will be transported by bus to the fire hall. Buses will then take students home following the normal end of day busing times and drop-off locations. Parents and guardians are asked not to go the fire hall, but to follow the normal dismissal procedures.

Students, parents and guardians are advised that buses picking students up from Dr. WA MacLeod Consolidated School and Northumberland Regional High School are running 10-20 minutes behind this afternoon due to a fire in the Hopewell area. Detours around the fire are in place, resulting in delays.
